Discover the whole story:
To create our jean jackets we teamed up with, Rene Orozco, a renowned Mexican fashion designer along with the talented artisan, Maria, from Zinacantán, a lovely village in the central Chiapas highlands in southern Mexico. Maria belongs to the Tzotzil, the ethnicity of indigenous Maya people, who take pride in their Mayan heritage which they, most visibly, express through their art of textile. Their rich and complex designs and motifs, that require a mastery of technique and creativity, have been passed on from generation to generation. In the end, our product is unique with its own aesthetic value that recounts long forgotten stories with deep meaning. Our “Zinacantán” jackets merge centuries of Mayan traditions, colors and designs with the latest developments in fashion design. This edition is limited to 9 exclusive pieces, each produced individually and with great attention to detail.
